The Isle of Wight Community Rail Partnership
The Isle of Wight Community Rail Partnership has been set up in response to the Strategic Rail Authority's 2004 review of branch and rural lines in the UK.
The Island's Quality Transport Partnership led the local response and have been pivital in establishing a broad based community rail partnership to champion the railway on the Island.
The Community Rail Partnership brings together a range of local stakeholders including representatives of user groups, environmental groups and the local community.
The Partnership is funded by Island Line, the IW Council, Wightlink and Leader +.
